Friends

A fabulous new album by Travis, with a lot more edge than previous albums... "Chinese Blues" is a heavy favorite of mine, but the below song is more the Travis we know and love. Check out the new album - Franny says download it for all he cares - just buy it if it meets your standards.

Friends
by Travis ("Ode to J. Smith")

Who cheers you up
When you are down
Who brings you cups of coffee
Who picks you up
When you're in town
Whatever makes you happy

And I'm glad you're better now
But I'… Continue

Leonard Cohen...

Is simply a brilliant poet and songwriter. "The Future" was written in 1992, a crisp 16 years ago. So much depth and context within these 7 minutes of intensity.

"The Future"

Give me back my broken night
my mirrored room, my secret life
it's lonely here,
there's no one left to torture
Give me absolute control
over every living soul
And lie beside me, baby,
that's an order!
Give me crack and anal sex
Take the only tree that's left
and stuff it up the hole
in your culture
Give me back the… Continue

Where is the Rhyme for Antediluvian?

Teddy Thompson's latest masterpiece, "A PIECE of What You Need" has finally been released (June 17, 2008) in North America, so please don't forget to pick up your copy from the local record store, or from the lovely world of iTunes. This is Teddy's best album to date and any support will make a HUGE difference.

As Teddy has said, this album is an offering to everyone, as a small PIECE of what you may need in your life. And for most, it will be a very miniscule PIECE. But for others, it m… Continue

In My Arms

Not an easy place to be
In my arms
In my arms

Not a simple space to feel free
In my arms
In my arms

Keep it on the recent
Keep it on the now
Give me an easy way out

It's a lonely world that I got
In my arms
In my arms

Not a lot of room to get lost
In my arms
In my arms

Keep it on the recent
Keep it on the now
Give me an easy to get out

Keep it on the recent
Keep it on the now
Give me an easy to get out

Not an easy place to be
In my arms
In my arms

Not much to feel from me
In my arms

classy lady has fallen off the wagon, bitten off the hoary end from a loaf of insouciance.

... but you have given me an idea. everything is better wrapped in bacon. perhaps the bacon grease will also help me to get a nice tan.

it's me lucky day.

I think your interest in Leo will hit the roof if you see "Blood Diamond." He plays an Australian in the film...and is FAR beyond his younger role in The Titanic. I think he was nominated for an academy award for that one. Hope you are doing well!! Will write again soon.

Aw...don't be so hard on yourself. It's not your fault that the only way you could see the Titanic is if someone kidnapped you and tied you up in a chair...hahaha. Yeah...The Dark Knight broke the 300 mil mark today - bypassing Johnny in the last Pirattes film. I loved it. I also saw the new X-Files film this weekend. Wow was that ever good...phew...that is my kind of film!! Now I can endlessly switch off between that and The Da Vinci Code and be happy for life!!

Glad to hear you are out and about....that is good news for sure. I think "The Mummy" starts on Friday so I'm going to check that out too. Oh...I got that Madonna CD for my birthday and you know...I really love it...and my daughter does too so it's been really a lot of fun. Funny how sometimes things start off not so good...but then you keep giving it a chance and then bingo it just kicks in. Take it easy...great to hear from you. I have a little present for you...this little meanie piece of bacon is the answer to all problems!! I can't stop laughing ever time I look at him.

HELL YEAH -- i'm so class.

... so, in that oven of yours, do you ever bake up cheese puffs? you know, like cheetos cheese puffs?

i mean, i don't even know if cheese puffs are baked or deep fried, or if they fall out of a mcMagical tree when ripe.

i'm leaning toward the magical tree, too good to be humanly conjured, but i await tales from the test kitchen.
