Here are a couple shots of the "This Is It" signature wall that was in downtown LA last week. I had an opportunity to sign it. I took these with my cell phone and when I drove down the next day with my good camera the wall had already been taken d...

Michael Jackson Memorial

I took a ride down to the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles this evening (7/6/09) to check out the Michael Jackson pre-memorial activities. It was quite amazing. There was a line of over 1000 people waiting to sign one of the three Signature Billboards. There were two differen… Continue

Truths (by George Carlin)

I was going through some of my files and ran across this amazing George Carlin piece that I had saved....

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but… Continue

Santa Claus Lane

When I first moved to LA I used to take trips up north and travel on the 101, especially at Thanksgiving and I'll never forget the first time I saw "Santa Claus Lane." Far in the distance you would see this giant Santa Claus figure and it was just the coolest thing. I really had a lot of fun stopping there as it was so theme oriented. Every year I would buy different Christmas ornaments and everything was so unique. At the time I didn't realize that this place had been around since the 1940's –… Continue

The LOST "Sawyer" Action Figure

Last year I started watching "Lost" for the first time and am currently catching up with the Season DVD's. A few months back I mentioned to my sister that I had started watching it and she became quite happy because she has watched it from the beginning. We talked about it for a while and then she started talking about "Sawyer" and how much she just loved him. She really went into detail and sounded like she was going to move toward unconsciousness by the time she was through. I thought it was c… Continue

I put some videos of bands and singers that make Brazilian rock (or whether the music) for several times and then tell me what you think and pass on to our friends.

Yeah thanx again! Hey check out the last picture on myspace; Pete seemed suprised and we joked at the whole thing! Rick could drum but we all got frustrated when he would drop sticks every once in a while. WOW ya never do know what the future holds? At least someone up the street in some Boondock of a town made it big! I maybe movin back there, my brother lives in Montville and P's are in Point Pleasant ( Oh! Exit 98 ) August gets sweet for surf and just might find a band! UTAH is nice but wierd!

Thanx for the compliment; I get alot of em at times and yes I did shop these rough tracks to EMI where a friend works and he didn't think there was any hooks and it neesd alot of work. It's difficult to judge from a stripped down acoustic point of view. So I write and try, folks behind the desk don't write but it's difficult to please everyone with the menue and dish! See? Hey it's art! ya know! So how many labels turned artists down and we're sorry they did! But the doors still open there!

I just saw the contest on my facebook page, but I have a feeling my students would do a much better job of creating a video for the song than I would. I have a kid right now who wants to develop a cartoon video of himself. How cool. I think you could do a nice job as well based on what you've shared artistically on here. You'll have to put up a link when you're finished. Good luck!

thanks for taking the time to drop in. i am actually kinda, maybe, sorta okay ... by the time i get around to writing something down, it's all gone through a highly sophisticated filtration system, where i basically take the piss and vinegar and turn it into pure glacier water (or 100% florida orange juice).

then, i like to think of my writing as, believe it or not, a breath of fresh air, the breath that comes right after walking through a cloud of fart.

p.s.
i think that the way you are raising your daughter is amazing. from your picture, you can see that she has great joy.
