Hi Heather. Hey, did you hear that Coldplay is having a video contest for the acoustical version of Lost? It was just posted today. If there is enough time for it (I didn't notice the deadline) I might look into that. That could be a lot of fun. I did one of these a bunch of years ago for U2's song "The End of the World" and it was a lot of fun - just have to learn how to use MovieMaker I guess. Hope all is well!!! Talk to you soon!!
Hi Heather. So nice to hear from you. Hey weren't you supposed to go to a second Coldplay show? I saw on Coldplaying there is going to be another release in Jan. or something like that. When it rain it pours...how cool. Things are moving along well. My daughter is back to school and doing great - she has a secret crush on Joe Jonas now - it's pretty cute I have to say. No shows on tap right now...I was thinking about getting a ticket to see Madonna but if I do it will be literally at the last minute (maybe some ebay ticketfast thing). We shall see. Hope you are doing well. Thanks for stopping by!!
OMG did you take that photo. WOW that is just great. I was wondering if you would end up getting some shots like you showed from the last one. That is just fantastic. Thanks so much...that really made my day. Sounds like you both had such a good time. Can't wait to hear more about it. Oh wow..you moved...that is quite an undertaking. No internet? It's hard to know if I could survive that...haha. Great to hear from you. Thanks so much. xx
Wow that's great. Nice to see that they are changing it up - how about "Shiver" or "Everythings not Lost" - what are you hoping for?? Yellow seems to be the ye old standard. I put a note on JTC's page saying that I found out that Jon Hopkins is a coproducer of the album and that the first song on the CD (the beginning) is Jon playing. Isn't that cool? Wish I had known before I went coz when everyone asked "Who's he" I could have held my pinky in the air and said "well he's the coproducer of course" haha - I would never do that - just kidding. YES I went to see The Dark Knight yesterday. Did you see my Dark Knight blog?? I went to Hollywood and took shots of all the billboards. You might enjoy that. It was fantastic...I think I'm going to go again next Saturday!! Can't wait to hear your report from the show. I still have to upload my cell phone video to see if any of it is any good - or if there are any shots that are any good. I have this trippy faraway pic that came out OK...but I might have some better stills from the video as it has a better zoom.
Oh cool. Thanks for the info about the fan shots and videos. I will check them out tonight. I just have a bunch of stuff from my cell phone...although a couple of them I have to say are rather artistic looking even though they are far away. Cool you are taking your mom. It really was a blast and the visuals were just the best I've seen. Oh and yes...Chris Martin looked really good...haha.
Hi Heather. Just stopping in to chat about the show a bit. Had just an amazing time. The floor seat was great. I was right underneath this giant blue ball that turned out to be this cool video ball that projected images from the stage...there were like eight of them or so that appeared on and off throughout the night.
I was thrilled to see that they changed the set a good amount from the England show. It was just so fun singing with that giant crowd...that is just so amazing. I headed there earlier so I would not have to wait in traffic for two hours and I made it there in half an hour and was sitting in my seat. They had some very mellow and interesting music playing that had hints of their sound in it while everyone was getting seated - I was pretty curious about what it was - almost sounded like some tracks they did themselves - had hints of Life in Technicolor in them.
Will did his song...they ran off the stage and headed up to the rafters and he sang it there...was really good...and they sang Yellow up there and Chris Martin said "So this is what it's like way up here." He was in rare form...just such a professional...his voice sounded really good. The shining moment for me - and quite the surprise - was when they did "What If" - I still am getting choked up just thinking about it. That is my favorite Coldplay song and I waited for it in 2006 and they didn't do it...so that was quite the moment for me...everyone was singing their hearts out when that was playing. Just a happy moment for me.
The whole show just meant a lot...so happy I was able to go. You are going to really have such a good time. Can't wait to see some actual professional shots from the show with these giant balls. I took some with my cell phone...will see what they look like (after I spend the whole day emailing them to myself...haha). Have a great day!!!
I keep wondering why they are taking this approach for the opening bands and wonder if there is some sort of twist to it in the guise of another reason - like to offset extreme fuel costs cutting into their profits.
That is so nice of you!! Thanks a million. I'm all ready to be completely dehydrated tomorrow!! The wait to get into The Forum on some backround of a borderline seedy town is two hours - to get into the parking lot. It was that way for Madonna and for Coldplay in 2006. I may leave earlier and just bring a book with me. I am rather interested in see Jon Hopkins...sounds like it will be sort of eclectic. Thanks again!! Have a great day.
