Every morning I like to start my day off with a laugh. I used to like to end my day with a laugh, but unfortunately that doesn't happen much anymore (see blog post below). The local paper here is not very good but they do have one good thing going for them: their comics section is 2 pages, full color EVERY DAY! Let me start by saying this: I fully support the writer's strike. They deserve to get everything they want and I will stand behind them no matter how long it takes.
That being said, every day I grow more and more despondent over the fact that it has been almost 5 weeks since my last "hit" of my favorite late night addictions. There's something about the first snow of the season. Maybe it affects me more than other east coasters because i didn't grow up out here. Unlike many of my fellow native californians i don't mind the cold and when i walked outside on Sunday morning and saw a very light dusting of snow covering everything, i couldn't help but smile. the world gets so quiet when it snows...so peaceful. i love this time of year.
