In Albuquerque before the storm....

It's another night at the FlyingJ, this time the location is in Albuquerque New Mexico on I-40 exit 153. There is a storm coming from the south....this is 'big sky' country and you can see the dark clouds coming from the horizon. The weather sorcerers predict that the temperature will drop into the 30's tonight along with the rain. I had planned on leaving at 0200 to head for Acoma City at exit 102, but I may have to put that off until later. High winds can be a real hassle for a 53 foot trailer… Continue

Making my way to California......along I-40..

Here we are at the FlyingJ in Knoxville Tennessee on a cold and stormy night...again...with the same crowd...again...looking through the windshield listening to Amy Lee singing....again....next will be Serena Ryder..then Tarja Turunen again...but I never tire listening to these great voices. I have discovered a new sound for me anyway...Sergey Lazarev, a Russian guy...sounds really great. I added him to my iPod last night after listening on Last.FM. This trip began in Londonderry New Hampshire a… Continue

My the things that have happened since March 14th......

Today is the 29th of March and the last two weeks have really been moving.....I have covered over 4000 miles, been to the home office to do the tax reporting, then on to Dallas to trade my old 2005 Kenworth T2000 for a newer 2007 Kenworth T2000 then back on the road to pay the taxes and to pay off the truck ($76,586.00) this year. Luckily my tax return was only 63 pages this year. last year it was 92, so things are looking up!! The week started off in Dallas then it was on to Urbana Illinois the… Continue

Connecticut was great, Massachusetts was fine, but coming south was a blessing.....

Birmingham Alabama.

I have finally escaped the northeast....Last blog I was in Ohio making my way to Cheshire CT to make a steak delivery at Bozzutos. Turns out the shipping address was the corporate hq and not the distribution center....I guess I should have sent an email to one of my myspace friends in Cheshire, Pale Enchantress, to get directions!!! I flagged down a police officer and he said to follow him and he delivered me right to it. Thanks!! My next trip was to the CSX yard in W. Sprin… Continue

Hanging out in Missouri....

It's Saturday nite once again in the Flying J truckstop. This time its in Sullivan Missouri, a booming little town on I-44 about 90 miles from St. Louis. Last post found me in Abilene waiting to swap trailers, little did I know that the next three days would be a non stop roller coaster of comedy and frustration along with a major snow and ice storm thrown in for local color! The day in Abilene started with a major snow storm just as I was filling up the truck on I-20 and over the next hour it d… Continue

Hi Friend:

I hope your day is going well for you. I ran across some cool software that I think you'll be interested in and can help you hide folders and files on your computer. This can come in real handy when you have sensitive files that you want to keep private from prying eyes. Use Hide Those Folders software to keep private files from being viewed by children, employers, employees, and even hackers!

Hide Those Folders will hide your sensitive files and folders so that they can't be seen or accessed. Files stay hidden even if you turn on "View Hidden Files" Even links in your recent documents menu won't be able to find your hidden files or hidden folders.

The best part is that Hide Those Folders offers a FREE "Try Before You Buy" trial.

Elvis was an actor silly! Netflix those movies. That's where Tom Petty met ELvis. He was 8, and his uncle was working on an Elvis film on location in FLA. TP was introduced, and they shook hands. It changed his life...

How about their other films. Hard Day's Night is brilliant, and I always wanted a flat like their's in Help.

I work for a company that delivers food products. Fresh meat, produce, processed food, from the processors, farms, fresh kill meat facilities to the grocery distribution centers, ie Walmart, Krogers, Safeway, Restuarant distibutors, ect...For example, I will go to an Iowa Beef Producers plant in Holcomb Kansas and take 40,000 lbs of fresh kill beef to Hunts Point Distribution Center in Bronx New York. Or go to Stockton California and pick up a load of onions and deliver them to Walmart Distribution Center in Stockbridge Georgia. An OTR guy gets paid by the mile. I make after expenses about .52 cents a mile. Drive about 3500 miles a week .
