everything is from now on

I'm 20 and I've never had a job because I'm super picky. I don't have a ton of time because of school. Ideally, I'd like to write for an online magazine or something like that, just to get my feet wet, and because, even though school is going better than it ever has before, I still feel stuck. I don't know many people, I know even fewer who I actually enjoy hanging out with...could take to do things I enjoy (going to shows)...so, I really want to be a part of something I can care about.

I love the rain. Especially in the spring or summer, when there's a good thunder storm. I love to go sit out on the back porch with my dog and listen to it. I love the way the air feels and smells right afterwords---just like everything has been cleaned.

Right now, there's a pretty big storm going on. I'm enjoying it (and I know it'll help me sleep better), but I feel terrible for people who don't have safe places to go. It's been pretty sad watching the news. Here, in Kentucky, 3 peop

Today, in my intro to photography class, we got our first assignment. I'm really excited about this class. I have little experience with taking pictures, but I think this is going to be very interesting. We're using all black and white film, which we'll be developing ourselves. I'm nervous about that, but I guess I'll learn. Our first assignment is to shoot some campus life photos. I'm really nervous about it because I don't do well with approaching strangers. So, for the past week or so, I've been back at my mom's house, home from college for Christmas break. Even though I come home almost every weekend, I usually stay busy out with friends or traveling to shows---whatever I can find to do---but this week, nothing has been going on. I've just been home. And on top of it, the phone line at my mother's house was messed up in a storm...so no dial-up internet (i'm currently stealing internet from my mom's office). It's been interesting just being home
